Julie Vickers is a Principal Process Engineer and Subject Matter Expert for Jacobs Advanced Facility / Life Science Division. Julie has 27 years of experience in ATMP manufacturing and facility design.  Her primary subject matter expertise includes cell and gene therapy, viral vectors, mRNA, LNP, cell culture and downstream purification systems. Julie current is a sole patent holder for a single use heat exchanger and is an expert at employing single use technology.

 

Prior to joining Jacobs, Ms. Vickers worked directly for major biologics companies including Amgen and Takeda (formerly Shire Pharmaceuticals) as well as an active consultant for Sanofi (formerly Genzyme).  She has also worked for design firms specializing in biologics and API manufacturing.
