Professional Bio
Rajiv is Head of MS&T at Viral Vector CDMO Andelyn Biosciences. Prior to Andelyn, he worked at Gene Therapy company (Grace Science, Inc.), where he oversaw the process development of an AAV9 based gene therapy produced using suspension HEK293 transient transfection process. Prior to that role, Rajiv supported facility buildout, expansion, and process development activities at Microbiome and Plasmid manufacturing CDMO Arranta Bio (Gainesville FL and Watertown, MA).
Previously, Rajiv worked at gene therapy CDMO Florida Biologix / Brammer Bio / Thermo Fisher's Patheon's Viral Vector Service division in Alachua, FL. While there, he managed several departments over his tenure, including upstream manufacturing, downstream and buffer manufacturing, process engineering, and technical operations. Rajiv and his team played vital roles in the facility buildout and expansion of Brammer's Florida site.
Prior to Brammer, Rajiv worked at Meridian Life Science in Memphis, TN (a subsidiary of Meridian Bioscience, Cincinnati, OH), where he managed the production of native viruses, recombinant proteins, large scale anti-sera, and antibodies. He also managed tech transfer of microbial processes at Meridian.
Before transition to industry, Rajiv worked in academia (University of Miami, North Carolina State University, and University of Tennessee Health Science Center). He completed his Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate in Microbiology from India.
