Austin is Technical Director, Group Head of Technology for PM Group. He leads both the central SME Group and the Technology Team, which is comprised of approximately 80 specialists who undertake R&D innovation projects focussed on pushing the boundaries in technology and facility designs. He is a Chartered Chemical Engineer, Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers, with Masters Degrees in both chemical engineering and pharmaceutical engineering. He has 30 years’ experience in the facility and process design of pharmaceutical and biotech facilities. He is a member of the ISPE’s Facility of the Future organising committee and BioPhorum’s Technology Roadmap Team for Ultimate Facility Design. Austin has been co-author of several industry white papers and a speaker at numerous industry conferences on a range of biopharma subjects.
